In the parking lot of Friedrichsdorf railway station, I saw a car advertising Germany’s “biggest and most exclusive FKK club”. (I presume “FKK” has the usual meaning, referring to naturism/no-clothes activities.)
And it made me wonder how any organisation could simultaneously be “biggest” and “most exclusive”—surely, the more people you exclude, the smaller you are?
I expect they were using it in the transferred meaning of “high-quality”, but still… the more people you admit, the harder it is to maintain/enforce such a quality standard. Which is why high-quality places tend to be (literally) exclusive in the first place.
