That page points to this entry as its inspiration, so that's now "how I did it"; my entry came first.
FWIW, I probably did it by copy-pasting from Windows Character Map, or possibly from SC UniPad.

Just like typing "sod" will look as if you've typed "pos" upside-down -- no special font to that, either.
So you just need a font that includes as many Latin Unicode characters as possible. http://www.alanwood.net/unicode/fonts.html may be helpful here.
